Landscape Bench
furniture // Bezons (95870)
In the ZAC Bords de Seine in Bezons, the Landscape Bench accompanied the final phase of urban renewal works for eighteen months. Set on a neglected strip of grass, this long timber structure offers seating, picnic tables and meeting places, and previews the uses of the future pedestrian mall.
Birch trees planted in containers, a pioneer species, stand for the colonisation of the site by plants before being transplanted. Like stepped seating, the bench turns an undefined space into a landscape facing place Lénine and the Seine valley.
